    #ZooKeeperProblems.

After watching hundreds of people wandering round the zoo, glued to their phones as they tried to find cartoon creatures, one zookeeper gave up and decided to create Pokemon Go cards for the real animals in her care.

You know, in the hope that people might look up and see there were actual real life animals all around them.

The anonymous zookeeper, who works at Birmingham Zoo in Birmingham, Alabama, shared pictures of her mocked-up posters on her Keeper of the Zoo Tumblr page, writing ‘Decided to jump on the Pokémon Go hype train at the zoo! Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em…’

The zoo is full of PokeStops, which is great for footfall, but not to so great for the real animals who keep getting ignored.

Like the Carribean flamingos, which are much more colourful than Pikachu.

And the Kori Bustard, which is rarer than a Charmeleon.

Look at all the Rainbow Lorikeets people are missing.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what other #ZookeeperProblems she has, well, there’s the constant betrayal.

    The struggle is real.

However, she does qualify all this by saying: ‘This is my job and my passion.’

Maybe do her a favour and remember to glance up from your phone to check out the real wildlife once in a while.

Just don’t try to catch ’em all, because those Cassowarys are actually pretty aggressive.
