Fabien Voileau is one of those people that actually goes out and does the things most people only talk about and then regret not doing on their death bed.
The French photographer goes on a road trip with his buddies every summer, scraping together enough money to allow them to travel through whichever country takes their fancy that season.
He’s travelled through Jordan, Palestine and California, to name a few.
This summer, they decided they wanted to hit the Arctic Circle, taking in Finland, Sweden and Norway on the way.
Fabien and his friends travelled during the period of polar days – where the sun never sets – which has got to be pretty trippy if you’re camping and don’t have the luxury of a blackout blind.
The group rarely encountered other human life and enjoyed the isolation and wilderness of the world around them.
They were keen to take things back to basics, camping out, making fires, and fishing for their food.
Fabien even goes back to basics with his photography, only shooting on film, as he thinks the result is ‘more real’.
Don’t know about you, but now we want to sell our things, buy a van and hit the open road.
