Surfing isn’t the easiest of sports.

How the average penis size changes across the UK

You’ve got to have your balance, strength and fitness on point, and you need to be able to read the waves like a book.

Many two-legged beasts struggle with it, but four-legged? Easy, pal.

Just take a look at the canines shredding at the 9th annual City Surf Dog competition at Huntington Beach, California on Saturday (September 23).

Around 3,000 people attended the event, which included 59 dogs from the USA, Brazil and Canada.

Contestants were greeted with a large swell which meant the dogs could really show what they were made of. You go, surfing doggos!

    Here’s what went down:

If you’re inspired by this and want your dog to be riding gnarly waves, you should move to Sydney and track down former surfing champ Chris de Aboitiz, who now spends his time teaching dogs how to surf.

Also, when it comes to dogs surfing, be less like BBC News presenter Simon McCoy, who couldn’t hide his distaste at having to present a segment on the World Dog Surfing Championships.

Probs ‘cos he was jeal that they’re all better surfers than him…
