There was a shock triple-firing on Wednesday evening’s instalment of The Apprentice which saw Charles Burns lead his team to failure in a dog-themed task.

But Charles wasn’t the only candidate to feel the wrath of Lord Sugar’s firing finger, as he, Andrew Brady and Anisa Topan were all canned from the show.

Andrew and Anisa’s newfound freedom has allowed them to now address the rumours that have been swirling over the weeks that they got a little too close during the process – despite Anisa being married.

‘These are not reports, they are rumours,’ Anisa, 36, insisted, adding that she finds the whole scenario funny.

‘I’m happily married,’ she went on. ‘I am in PR – I represent very high profile peopl so I know what it’s like when things are said about people in the public eye.

‘My husband is the most amazing man, and it’s not been hard at all to deal with these rumours.

‘He and I have conquered mountains, rivers, terminal illness and death together. It’s better to talk about this stuff than to not talk about it. I know me, I know him.’

Clearing things up: 'I¿m happily married,' she went on. 'I am in PR - I represent very high profile peopl so I know what it's like when things are said about people in the public eye'

Adding to this, Andrew, also speaking to MailOnline, added: ‘It’s all rumour – I couldn’t possibly say where it’s come from, I don’t know. I’m happily eating sweets.’

Candy tasting aside, the 26-year-old addressed his decision to keep quiet about it over the weeks, simply stating: ‘Me making a comment about it makes it worse.’

At the time, Anisa and ‘playboy’ Andrew allegedly defied the show’s strict sex ban and got together in the multi-million pound Notting Hill home the candidates were residing in during the series.

Last month the Surrey-based Anisa tied the knot with fiance Tristan, sharing a host of photos on social media along with the caption ‘We got hitched!’

During shooting for the new series, which hit screens last week, feelings were said to have mounted between the pair before they retired into his bedroom.

Andrew was also plagued by allegations that he had taken part in an S&M-style photoshoot with wannabe model Gail Harris, which saw him dressed in a business suit and pulling her hair.

The pair allegedly ‘hit it off’ and later ‘spent the night together’ – with Gail’s representative claiming she ‘couldn’t resist’ the Sheffield native.

A representative for Andrew denied there was any form of ‘erotic film’ made, but did not officially comment on the other claims – which came out earlier this month.

After his firing however, Andrew told MailOnline: ‘It’s fabricated bulls**t and it’s completely made up. There is no truth behind it.’

Gross: 'It was a gross task ¿ it was a s**t task, literally,' Andrew said. 'Why did we have to do that? They're not asking us to run a drug dealing or street walking business'

Winter is here: 'It was like a Game Of Thrones-style execution,' Anisa said of the triple-sacking. 'It was disheartening to go in week eight, but getting to that point isn¿t anything to laugh at. It was a good run, but I guess I could have pushed harder'

Elaborating further about the apparent erotic photoshoot, he said: ‘It was an independent shoot. [Gail] asked to join in!’

He added that he ‘knows who my true family are’ when it comes to people making allegations.

‘I don’t believe that any press is good press. Look at Harvey Weinstein!’ he said.

A representative for Gail said: ‘One thing led to another – it was all just a bit of fun. Gail doesn’t normally have flings but on this occasion she couldn’t resist.’

Of their firing, the pair both declared that Lord Sugar was within his rights to give them the sack.

‘I said to myself “I’ll make myself be PM next week” but that’s a case of famous last words on The Apprentice as you might not be back next week. I do think that if I had been PM I would have been successful.

‘Lord Sugar is looking for someone with potential to work well with him. I can say for sure that I get it – you can tell if you’re not going to fit with someone. I respect him.’

Of Andrew – who somewhat threw Anisa and Charles under the bus in the boardroom – Anisa said: ‘Andrew is a really good businessmen – I’m not so desperate to win though that I start tearing people down for no reason.’

Andrew had similar things to say about Anisa: ‘Charles and Anisa didn’t deserve to go through to week eight anyway. But I felt sorry for Anisa, she didn’t have the chance to shine.’

Not impressed: While both Andrew and Anisa tipped Sarah Lynn [pictured L] to take home the prize at the end, Charles gave a far less glowing report of the candidate still in the running. 'I think James [TR] should win and Sarah Lynn should go next,' he said. 'I haven¿t seen great things from her. What did she do that was so great? Clean up some goose poo?'
