The daughter of billionaire Bernie Ecclestone has been married to businessman Jay Rutland since 2013 and insists sharing their bed with Sophia hasn’t killed their sex life.

She said: ‘It makes you be more creative and inventive with your love life. We’re lucky that we’re the same, Sophia is our priority.

‘It might not be for everyone. Everyone has different relationships and I hate to judge people.’

Tamara revealed that she originally had every intention of giving Sophia her own bed, but a health scare as a baby meant they have always slept together.

‘She slept next to my bed when she was first born, then she got fever after injections so she slept with me that night’, she explained.

‘And here we are two years later. She’s never had a cot. I set her to bed at 6 and barricade the bed with pillows so she says safe and make sure doors are open – then I go watch TV, dinner and then have an early night myself.’

Tamara also hit back at claims she had said Jay wasn’t important, insisting they were taken out of context.

The pretty brunette scoffed: ‘Sophia is most important. I would be worried if he put me before Sophia. She’s our number one priority.

During the interview, Tamara fired back at her critics who claim she shouldn’t still be breastfeeding Sophia.

The likes of model Jodie Kidd recently weighed in on the debate, and Tamara firmly believes only a mother knows what is best for her children.

She revealed: ‘Everything comes with its critics. As a mum we want to do what’s best for your kids.

‘People are focused about breastfeeding – yet no one worries when people are going to take dummies or comforters away from kids. My intention was not to breastfeed till past three but I know one day she’ll be done.’

The star also revealed that she lets Sophia decide when she is ‘ready’ for big life changes, vowing to apply the same rule to breastfeeding.

‘I potty trained until when I thought she was ready. She only went to nursery when she showed signs she was ready’, she said.

‘That day I sat in the car for three hours with Jay. I was part happy and proud and part sad. I feel like she’s never craved for attention so she knows I’m always going be there.’

It’s clear how much Tamara loves her daughter, and the well spoken star revealed she has never been in a better place in life.

She said: ‘I always thought before being a mother my life isn’t going to change. I’m going to be the same me, but I’ve done a complete 180. Everything before that in my life was warm up – this is happiest I’ve ever been.’

Tamara showcased her special bond with her daughter as the pair left the ITV studios following their TV appearance.

Balancing Fifi on one hip, the heiress looked super chic in a white off-the-shoulder dress with a summery floral pattern.

She set off her elegant attire with bright red heels and a bouncy blow dry.

Sophia was cute as a button in a denim dress and sparkly, rainbow striped shoes.

The mother and daughter beamed with delight as they left the studios, with Sophia flashing a cheery wave.

Tamara recently said she had never spent more than six minutes away from her daughter before she started nursery.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the heiress admitted that Sophia is her ‘life’ – and that she ‘cried her eyes out’ when she had to leave her little girl at nursery for the first time.

She said: ‘Until January, when I first took her to nursery, the longest we had ever been apart was six and a half minutes, when I went on a television show.

‘The first few days she went, I sat outside in the car and cried my eyes out. My husband thinks I’m insane. But I missed her.

‘My daughter isn’t just part of my life, she is my life.’

Speaking to Hello! ahead of the launch of her Show blow-dry salon launch at Harvey Nichols in Manchester, Tamara defended her decision to breastfeed her toddler four times a day.

‘I never want to battle, to feel I’ve taken something away from her, so when she decides she is done, it will be the end of that era,’ she explained.

‘You know your child and you have to do what works for you as a family. I ignore the occasional nasty comment as I have so many nice messages from other mums.’

‘No one sees the time when you are up through the night, when Fifi is not feeling well, or when you are having a tricky moment.

‘I feel social media is like everyone’s highlight reel. There are definitely some harder times, and I feel all mums should stick together and support each other.’

A month before her daughter’s third birthday in February, Tamara told her followers she was doing her ‘best’ for her daughter, and couldn’t understand why others were so ‘angry’ about her parenting decision.

‘I hope by the time Fifi [Sophia] is a mumma people who have chosen to be open about their breast feeding journey,’ she wrote.

‘It will mean that seeing a picture of a mum feeding their child won’t evoke any reaction and that it is seen only for what it is a mum doing her best.

‘To me there is nothing but love in this photograph and I find is such a shame that it brings out anger in some of you it’s sad for you that that’s how you choose to live particularly those that have made comments trying to sexualise breastfeeding are particularly unwell.

‘I chose love. I want my daughter to grow up in a better world where this is nothing but normal in a better world.’ (sic)
