This year’s batch of celebrities have been living harmoniously in the I’m A Celebrity camp since they arrived in the jungle last Sunday.

But as two newbies were thrown into the mix on Thursday, in the form of Danny Baker and Martin Roberts, cracks have immediately started to show.

And the straw that broke the camel’s back appeared to be yesterday’s live challenge between the yellow team – led by Danny – and the blue team – led by Martin.

Pointing the finger: As two newbies were thrown into the mix on Thursday, in the form of Danny Baker and Martin Roberts, cracks have started to show

Here come the tears: Meanwhile, Scarlett was seen to be getting upset by the tiff, saying ‘I’m not liking this atmosphere at all, Martin has all this anger towards Danny and I’m confused why’

It was a clean sweep from the yellows, as the six mini-tasks were all completed by them first, leaving the blues to face a day in the Rancid Retreat while Danny’s team got treated to a spa experience.

By the time the blue team got back to camp they were understandably feeling a little dejected and down – not helped by Danny’s gloating.

As the yellow team started to arrive back, Larry went over to Wayne and warned him that people were a little annoyed by Danny’s boastful remarks.

Adam walked over to Martin and said ‘How’s your chin? I thought you were only supposed to use your mouth in that last trial,’ referring to the fact that the Homes Under The Hammer presenter had indeed used his chin to extract a star from a box full of snakes while Danny had managed to win the task by utilising his tongue.

The honeymoon’s over: New campmates Danny Baker and Martin Roberts are at each other’s throats bringing friction to the jungle and leaving Scarlett Moffatt in tears

Low morale: By the time the blue team got back to camp they were understandably feeling a little dejected and down – not helped by Danny’s gloating

Tiff: As the yellow team started to arrive back, Larry went over to Wayne and warned him that people were a little annoyed by Danny’s boastful remarks

    ‘Did I? I can’t remember,’ came Martin’s response.

Scarlett scolded soap actor Adam, telling him not to wind people up. He assured her he was just engaging in some banter.

‘Who’s gloating the most out of all of us?’ Adam asked everyone else.

‘Who do you think?’ answered Martin, referring to Danny, who overheard the remark.

‘He’s convinced I’ve got it in for him, please don’t pretend I’m going around gloating because I’m not,’ said Danny.

Martin proceeded in telling Danny to be a better sportsman, noting that Andy Murray doesn’t behave like that when he wins Wimbledon.

Stirring: Adam suggested Martin had completed the task incorrectly

‘Martin, it’s not a Wimbledon final, it’s a telly show for starters, you’re inventing this gloating, I have not done it,” Danny argued back.

‘You did’ was Martin’s curt retort, adding: ‘If you’re a winner, you’re sensitive to the loser.’

‘Oh for the love of god, it’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” exclaimed an exasperated Danny.

Meanwhile, Scarlett was seen to be getting upset by the tiff, saying: ‘I’m not liking this atmosphere at all, Martin has all this anger towards Danny and I’m confused why’

Adam managed to calm things down, but Martin turned to his blue team for back up at which hockey player Sam said: ‘Don’t involve me, I didn’t say anything.’

Tearful: Larry asked Scarlett if she was alright. ‘Not really Larry,’ said Scarlett as she started to cry. ‘Just to hear the arguing, I just feel all week it’s been such an experience and all of a sudden like…’

Mediator: Adam managed to calm things down, but Martin turned to his blue team for back up

‘Don’t put people in a bad situation, you shouldn’t be doing that,’ the yellow team’s Wayne scolded the pair with Danny ending the confrontation by saying: ‘It’s totally a game, the idea that we’re all walking around with chests puffed out is nonsense.’

A little later the yellow team headed off to the Jungle Spa leaving behind the blue team in the main camp. Larry asked Scarlett if she was alright.

‘Not really Larry,’ said Scarlett as she started to cry. ‘Just to hear the arguing, I just feel all week it’s been such an experience and all of a sudden like…’

Explaining himself: Martin took a moment to speak to Scarlett later on and told her that he was partly scolding Danny because she seemed annoyed by him too

Emotional: Sam, Ola and Larry comforted Scarlett after the camp confrontation

Sam, Ola and Larry comforted her and Joel went to speak to the Bush Telegraph.

‘People deal with different things in different ways. Seeing Scarlett upset is not nice, the team being split is so difficult,’ he said.

Larry jokingly asked Scarlett to sit on his lap whilst he sat on the Presidential Throne to cheer her up and wipe away her tears.

‘It’s been fun and now all of a sudden, cause of a stupid game that doesn’t matter, people start to argue,’ she sobbed.

Model Lisa took it upon herself to explain to Martin why Scarlett was upset.

‘It wasn’t an argument, Danny got a bit upset and I wasn’t trying to upset him, I was just suggesting sensitivity,’ reasoned Martin.

The lap of larry: Joel also wanted to sit on Larry’s lap to cheer himself up. ‘Why have we not been doing this all the time, this is great,’ he said

He took a moment to speak to her later on and told her that he was partly scolding Danny because she seemed annoyed by him too.

‘I was angry with myself that I’d lost,’ said Scarlett. ‘You don’t need to speak on my behalf.’

‘If you’re a team leader, you take on people’s feelings, I was only going on what people were feeling,’ said Martin.

Joel also wanted to sit on Larry’s lap to cheer himself up. ‘Why have we not been doing this all the time, this is great,’ he said.
