The son of a restaurant owner has been fired from his role as a waiter after he called a customer ‘fatty’ on their receipt.

The customer, Dillon Arnold, was paying for his meal at All Stars restaurant in the US, when he noticed in the corner of his receipt the word ‘Fatty’.

‘I was like “wow”, and my heart dropped’, he told NBC 10 News.

Posting the receipt to Facebook in outrage, Dillon wrote: ‘Yeah I’ll never go to all stars on airport rd again.

‘I usually don’t care but this bs got me offended legit id me as ‘fatty’ then he wouldn’t admit it. They lost mine and my friends business (sic).’

After the photo was shared to NBC’s Facebook page, Tony Ambrosio, the owner of the restaurant, reached out.

In fact, he did more than reach out. He called out… his 18-year-old son.

Yes, apparently the rude server in question was the none other than Tony’s son – and he was furious to say the least.

So much so, that he decided there was only one thing to do: fire him.

Sure, it must be harsh to be fired by your own dad, but it’s nice to see he doesn’t get special treatment over the other employees.

Tony wrote on Dillon’s post: ‘We sincerely apologise for your negative experience last night. It was very unprofessional to say the least.

‘We take full accountability for what occurred and would like to make it up to you. Please call me so I can offer you something for the inconvenience. This should not have happened, and my staff will be dealt with right away.’

Tony has offered Dillon a gift card as an apology, but Dillon’s currently holding off on accepting.

For now though, Tony’s son will have to get used to eating at home – as he’s been banned from stepping foot on the restaurant property.
