And as Cheryl fans have gone into meltdown over the claims, they were excited even further to see the 33-year-old singer radiating happiness as she attended former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts’ birthday dinner.
Whilst Cheryl’s beau was not in the snap, eagle eyed fans quickly pointed out that his pet pooch was, commenting on Nicola’s Instagram post: ‘is that Parker?’

Snuggled between Nicola and her fellow best friend Kimberley Walsh, the Fight For This Love hitmaker looked ready to burst with happiness.
And it seems a good night was had by all, as Nicola remarked: ‘I’ve had the loveliest birthday dinner… love you all’ whilst Kimberley wrote: ‘Lovely evening!’

And soon after word of the deal became public knowledge the hashtag ‘#CongratsLiam’ was a trending topic on the micro-blogging site.
However, some Directioners who were late to the party got the shock of their life as they mistakenly believed Liam had confirmed rumours that he and his girlfriend were expecting their first child.
While some nearly had a ‘heart attack’ at first, the confusion was soon cleared up with fans making light of their initial reactions.

The confusion comes just weeks after rumours surfaced that Cheryl and Liam are expecting their first baby as she stepped out sporting a ‘bump’.
The rumours date back to September when a source told Now magazine: ‘Cheryl’s never been more determined to have a baby. It’s like it’s the only thing in the world that matters to her.
‘She’s never been so focused on something. Cheryl has a stash of pregnancy and motherhood books she’s always reading.’
