She is said to be ‘wobbling’ when it comes to her reported split from husband Jamie.

But Louise Redknapp is said to be wanting to ‘consciously re-couple’ with the father of her three children… while keeping her ‘freedom’ with her own house.

The 42-year-old former Eternal singer has been throwing herself into work and reigniting her music career since taking a break from her 19-year marriage to the former footballer, 44, earlier this year.

Now she is said to be spending time at the family home in Surrey so the pair can juggle parenthood and their work schedules – but wants a pad in London to enjoy some space and be close to her BFF and confident Daisy Lowe, 28.

A source tells heat magazine: ‘Louise says that, with space, she hopes they can start talking about their future. She still loves Jamie and hopes to ‘consciously re-couple’, but, at the moment, is saying she wants her freedom and identity back. For now, she wants to split her time between their home in Surrey – so they can spend key times together as a family – and a place of her own in London.

‘Jamie has told friends that they come and go and take it in turns with the boys – and that’s down to their work schedules, not because of a divorce.

‘She doesn’t want their home to be a negative place for anyone… and wants to be near her BFF Daisy Lowe… neither (Louise or Jamie) feel it has to end in divorce.’

A representative for Louise refused to comment.

Last month, the songstress revealed she ‘lost herself’ during her marriage to the former footballer, while hinting at feelings of hurt and insecurity in the wake of the split. She also said she would ‘always love’ her ‘amazing’ estranged husband.

She said: ‘I lost myself. It happens to a lot of women when they get married and have children’. Yet new claims insist she is changing her mind on the decision.

Louise stepped back into the spotlight on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing after concentrating on motherhood  to the couple’s two sons Charley, 13, and Beau, 8.

She said she signed up for the show, in which she reached the final, after years of ‘staying at home, looking after my children and my husband.’

The star is currently on tour in the stage production musical Cabaret, where she plays vampy leading lady Sally Bowles, a role which show her pose in underwear, stockings and suspenders for her publicity shots.

Louise said: ‘Sally is extremely vulnerable, extremely fragile – yet on the outside, she’s a very ballsy woman who wants to be a star and does all she can to survive.

Louise addressed her marital woes for the first time earlier this month- insisting that neither she nor Jamie are pushing for a divorce, but that she ‘needs’ to be apart from him while she re-evaluates her life.

Speaking to the Telegraph, she said she finally feels like she is coming back to who she really is, after spending most of her life pleasing others.

Louise, who said the hardest part was moving out while still being in love, said: ‘He’s an amazing man and we’ve had 20 good years together. I know he’s trying to understand that I do need to do this.’

She explained that it was signing up to Strictly Come Dancing, where she met now close friend Daisy Lowe, that made her realise she was unable to return to the ‘Stepford Wife’ lifestyle.

Admitting that she’s not sure what this will do to her marriage, she continued: ‘I have no idea what is going to happen, all I know is that I fought for this, it’s taken everything, but this is something I need to do – for me.’

Rumours the pair were parting ways emerged earlier this year, with Daisy being ‘blamed’ for the split – having formed a close friendship with Louise on the show.

In her recent Femme podcast Daisy gushed: ‘I don’t use best friend often especially with someone I’ve only known for a year but Louise Redknapp completely changed my life and the two of us became these kind of wonderful confidence boosters for one another.

‘I would never in a million years have the confidence to set up my own business, my own company, my own podcast if it wasn’t for the incredible nurture of one of my best friends (Louise). We’re like each other’s cheerleaders.’
