    She is undeniably one of the icons of the fashion world.

    And Kate Moss proved her sartorial worth once again at the Hair By Sam McKnight exhibition private view in London, which saw the industry’s elite descend upon Somerset House.

    The supermodel, 42, showed off her endless legs in a flirty patterned minidress as she flashed a coy grin over her shoulder at the event on Tuesday night.

    The Croydon-born beauty’s dress featured eye-catching leaf prints in hues of magenta, emerald and yellow.

    Boasting a high neckline, power shoulders and a wrap style, the garment had more than a hint of the 80s to it.

    Kate showcased her svelte legs in some fishnet tights and a pair of black suede ankle boots.

    Her golden tresses were swept back in an elegant chignon and she outlined her gamine features with a dab of coral lipstick.

    The 32-year-old model looked chic yet understated in a loose white blouse, worn tucked into cropped black trousers.

    She carries a mirror embellished metallic bag, giving her ensemble a quirky, futuristic feel.

    Lara recently told VOGUE Paris she was never planning a career as a model until she was scouted in her teens.

    She said: ‘Fashion was a complete different world from where I stood, and didn’t really exist in our little village. I hadn’t heard of Vogue till I was 16!’

    The star hopes to break the mould for less stick-thin models and is hopeful the industry is evolving in a positive way.

    ‘There’s always room for more diversity in fashion. But I love that the ideal of beauty is always changing and evolving’, she said.

    The likes of Yasmin Le Bon, 52, and her lookalike daughter Amber, 27, were also in attendance at the event, with fellow supermodel Erin O’Connor also putting in an appearance.

    Hair by Sam McKnight at Somerset House is open to the public from Wednesday.
